Punjabi producers and musicians born abroad have brought back a distinct quality to the state of Punjab. The great music of Punjab has a great international influence and there are many singers who have been living abroad in countries like U.K, Canada, and America who introduced the latest technology and methods to Punjabi music industry.

There are certain songs which have set a benchmark for the music industry such as Dil luteya by Jazzy B, Amplifier by Imran Khan, Brown Rang by Honey Singh to name a few. These songs were super hit and a rage in their time and their popularity could not be matched by anything else. Every party and club was playing these songs and these songs played some role in establishing the popularity of Punjabi music industry.

There is no dearth of Punjabi singers either. Jazzy B is an Indo Canadian, Imran Khan is a Dutch Pakistani, Diljit Dosanjh, Bally Sagoo etc. who brought in foreign beats and merged them with Punjabi songs which became instant hit in India and abroad. Another popular singer who emerged during the 2000s was California based Punjabi singer and rapper Bohemia. His blend of international music, rap and Punjabi lyrics fetched him a huge fan following who listen to him till date. His fan base still exists even today. And how can one forget Honey Singh who was a heartthrob of many girls and almost everyone had his songs in his or her mobile.

Latest singers like A P Dhillon (Indo- Canadian) have taken the music to next level by creating a stir in the music industry with his songs Brown munde to Insane to Desires. Late Sidhu Moosewala became popular in a very short period of time and everyone fell in love with his style of singing. Punjabi music and singers are here to stay for a very long time indeed as this is just the beginning of the transition that Punjabi music industry is bringing into India and foreign countries.
