Simple workouts can do wonders

Sedentary lifestyle may lead to several physical and mental health problems.  Irregular and junk food eating habits further add to the complications. It is easy to accumulate belly fat but cutting it down to return to original shape is perhaps one of the most arduous tasks.  Besides limiting intake of calories, regular regime of strict exercise can help cut down the belly fat.  If not checked in time, the excess belly fat can cause some serious diseases including high blood sugar, high blood pressure and heart ailments.  Some of the following easy exercises may help do the trick: -

1. Walking: A most common and simple cardio exercise which may help you lose the belly fat and regain your original shape if coupled with a balanced diet.  People can be spotted in your nearby parks running, walking and doing physical exercises.  Walking can be performed indoor (using treadmill) and outdoor and can easily fit to your schedule.  It also suits all age groups. 

2. Crunches:  Being one of the most effective exercises, crunches directly attack belly fat.  The exercise is performed with knees bent and feet on the ground.  Lift hands and place them behind the head and lift the upper body to the level you feel comfortable with without jerk.

   

3. Leg raising exercises:  A great exercise for abs and the obliques besides toning down the body.  Lie down on your back with palms placed below hips and slowly lift legs to a 90-degree angle while keeping knees straight and feet pointing to roof.  Stay in that position for a moment before returning to the starting position while exhaling out.


4. Cycling:  An effective way to deal with the belly fat. Besides rating up heart rate, cycling helps burn the good number of calories.  It also results in losing weight in thighs and around waist.  

5. Aerobics:  One can burn belly fat without going to the gym with aerobics.
