Twitter Down With Timeline Issues on 21 December 2023

It seems Twitter is acting up, as multiple Twitter down reports have surfaced this December 21, with the timeline not loading or refreshing and other issues popping up.

If you’ve managed to get logged into Twitter (now known as X) today, you may have noticed your timeline vanishing, and your feed not loading or refreshing, as well as the inability to access other users’ profiles. Don’t worry, as you are not the only ones, as we, too, are running into the issue with post history and timeline disappearing completely, and being greeted with a “Welcome to X!” message on the main page.

Down detector has seen a massive spike in reports recently from other users:

Of course, since we can’t access any profiles, we can’t see what the Twitter/X support account has to say, though based on the down detector, the service is having issues.

Strangely, you can still write tweets and post them, you, too or anyone else just won’t be able to see them. You can however access tweets you have set up for notifications under the notifications tabs, and even reply to them. How weird!
